Tempus Fugit Proprietary Red, which is Latin for “time flies” (this wine will fly too!), is a new-ish brand from the illustrious Weston Eidson, well-known for his Silver Ghost cabernets, among others. He cut his teeth with Russell Bevan (too many 95-100 point scores to count), and Jason Moore of Modus Operandi. Those folks are known for their excellent Napa Bordeaux blends, and now Weston can be known for his as well.

The 2022 edition of Tempus Fugit is heavy on the Malbec, which accounts for a whopping 85% of this cool blend. We’re THRILLED for this since we don’t drink enough Malbec – whether from Napa or anywhere! So, go Malbec! The balance is comprised of 10% Cab Franc and 5% petit Verdot. What a cool blend, right?! We’re here for it! Petit Verdot is something else we can’t get enough of! That dense, inky purple-black color is just mesmerizing to our eyes – and palates! This was aged for nearly two years in French oak and is chock full of black, blue, and boysenberries with notes of cedar. It’s complex and fun, dark and moody, and everything in between. Weston really outdid himself with this wine, but the kicker is that it’s under $60 for this excellence – already 40% off – and that’s before we get absolutely CRAZY with this!
