It never ceases to amaze us what Southern France (Corbieres is in the Languedoc, close to the Med sea) can do at simply jaw-dropping prices vis-a-vis what you get delivered into your happy, happy mouth. Best red values on Earth? Probably. Here is a DOOZY. $12!

Domaine de L'Alba is a longtime Parker favorite - the wines consistently score in the 90s, and considering price points...well, it’s been an “insider” fave for rich, tasty red for many years. And we have some in the house!

JD90: “A blend of 50% Syrah, 30% Carignan, and 20% Grenache, the 2017 Corbieres L'Ermite offers an outstanding bouquet of black raspberries, white truffle, flowers, and dried earth as well as a medium to full-bodied, silky style on the palate. All destemmed and brought up in concrete tanks and foudre, it’s a beautifully balanced, silky, complex wine that sells for a song. Drink it over the coming 4-6 years.”

RIGHT! Couldn’t have said it better. This wine just DELIVERS if you like ‘em rich and big and silky. Super fruit-forward, but shockingly fine and structured (again, sorry to harp on the $12 price, but WOW!). We have 30 cases to sell and you need this in your house! While it lasts!
