$19! Was $40! Wow! This is another wine that’s been hit from restaurant closures, thus our eye-popping price. SERIOUS stuff from the coveted Steiner Vineyard...read on!

Anthony Viloria’s story is much like mine. We both started in restaurants at the age of 15, worked our way up, fell in love with wine, became wine stewards/sommeliers, and then in his case, went on to become winemaker (I just sell the stuff!).

With no training and only anecdotal information from winemaker chats during tastings, Anthony made his first wines in 2015 with the help of friend, Eric Demuth. Looking to expand his production in 2016, yet simultaneously maintaining the same laid back & hands off approach as Demuth, Anthony moved to Black Knight Cellars.

After years of tasting wines from all over the world, especially the North Bay, Anthony knew there were certain vineyards that he had to work with when getting started making wine. The first was Halcon and their Syrah, next came Steiner Grenache, Black Knight Pinot Noir, Peaceland with Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah and later Rose, and then Olivet Lane Chardonnay.

This terrific, head-spinningly complex wine made of 50/50 Grenache/Syrah (so, sort of a Chateauneuf-du-Pape or Cotes du Rhone style) has “somm style” written all over it -- low alcohol, pure, bright fruit, fresh acidity, dry and complex!! This will take you back to the south of France ASAP…! All for an astounding $114 a 6-PACK delivered!! While it lasts!
